April		Walk Islay, lots of organised walks covering most of the island. The thousands of over-wintering geese start to migrate north.
May		Feis Ile... Islay whisky festival, a celebration of music and whisky. The paps fell race on Jura.
June		Islay beach rugby competition, watch teams of men and women from all over the north compete on the sands in Port Ellen. Port Ellen book festival.
July		Catalina summer music festival.
August		Islay Half marathon. Islay agricultural society annual show. Islay airport open day. Jura regatta.
September		Black bottle jazz festival, featuring many well known jazz singers and musicians, events at fantastic settings all over Islay. Jura music festival.
October		Geese start to arrive in their thousands from Greenland.
November		Fireworks at Port Charlotte.
December		Ceilidhs and Hogmanay.
